French Gypsy Jazz Recital

Hello folks,

With July being a hectic month and the airwaves being a little quiet, I'm now back on the scene starting with a french Gypsy Jazz recital next Friday at St James Church, Picadilly. I've been working on a French project for a while now, and will be performing with the fabulous Cordes en Bleues from 1-2pm, so if you're at a loose end pop down for an uplifting lunch!

Did anyone go to Womad last weekend? I was there with some friends and got to see Roy Ayres LIVE - I can honestly say I've never seen such a complex and polished jazz performance in my life. The man was incredible. We also saw Shlomo and his vocal orchestra, they were incredible live, there was one girl who whose beatboxing just blew me away - who knew a girl could make such insane sounds! Other news, a few weeks ago I performed with the Ryan O'Reilly at Ronnie Scotts - we recorded the show and will soon have a limited edition DVD with tracks from the performance available for sale. If you're interested watch this space, as I'll be posting more info on how to get your hands on them very soon!
